All About Our Experts

PDC Education Ltd has been publishing educational resources since 2000. We have had the pleasure of working with many brilliant teachers and experts in PSHE, careers, citizenship, work-related learning and enterprise during that time.

The majority of our PSHE resources were written, developed, tried and tested by the specialists at Branton Education, who include Advanced Skills Teachers at a large secondary school in South Yorkshire. The teachers at Branton have been teaching for many years and have developed some of our most downloaded materials, including those on Teenage Pregnancy and Drugs.

Our Enterprise resources were developed by ourselves, (as former winners of the Sunday Express Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and having grown our business from nothing we believe we are more than qualified!) and specialist educational consultants Edicts, who are all ex-teachers. Sir Howard Davies, whose report on Enterprise Education of 2002 launched the current Enterprise agenda in secondary schools, reviewed our Enterprise resources himself and commented that "Schools who followed your advice would be likely to be meeting the requirements of the review I led in an effective way."

Careers education is a particularly challenging area to come up with something dynamic and engaging. Our Careers resources were largely developed by two hugely experienced teachers from Manchester, Nigel Wickham and Ray Potts. Nigel has since retired from teaching. Ray Potts sadly passed away in 2009, and is greatly missed.

We regularly ask teachers to review our materials to ensure they are up to date. These teachers are often heads of departments and are always committed to working with the best possible resources. Teachers from diverse backgrounds have reviewed our careers and work-related learning resources for us, and offered up many valuable suggestions.

Our Citizenship materials include some which were developed with citizenship consultants, and others which were directly developed with charities. Our gap year resources and volunteering materials have been put together by a consultant who currently works for an international development agency. Being based in Yorkshire, we often work with Yorkshire schools to test out our resources, but have travelled everywhere from Gordonstoun to Suffolk over the years in our continuing quest to make completely useful teaching resources.

If you are a teacher or subject specialist who has great ideas and would be interested in publishing their materials, contact us to discuss in more detail. We are always interested in developing resources for all subject areas and across all key stages.
