Risk assessment
What kind of risks do we take? How can we assess and control risk in our every day lives? This activity encourages students to consider ways of assessing risk.
Influencing outcomes
Following on from the previous activity, how can the students influence the outcome of their decisions in life? How can they deal positively with uncertainty?
Enterprise Skills Activities for Form Time
This is a set of three enterprise lessons that look as some of the key attributes required to be enterprising. These lessons will contribute towards the learning outcomes for personal and economic well-being for key stage 4 in the careers, self development and enterprise topics.
Activity 1 – Risk Assessment
In this class activity, the concept of risk (and reward) in business is demonstrated. Working together, students must think of examples of risk that relate to real life.
Activity 2 – Design a Board Game
Students now have the opportunity to recap on keywords and phrases related to enterprise and will focus on the topic of uncertainty. Students must then consider a personal goal and uncertainties that may affect them achieving it.
Activity 3 – Influencing Outcomes
Using the game created in the previous exercise, students now reflect on the positive and negative factors that they may face and think about what they can do to influence these situations.
