Enterprise and the Community
In this series of 3 form time activities, students will consider how enterprise skills can help to make a difference in their own school or neighbourhood. The lessons explore further what it means to be enterprising and encourage students to use problem solving and planning skills.
Activity 1 – Enterprise in Your Community
In the first activity, we recap on some of the key skills required to be enterprising. Students then work in small groups to answer questions about their own area.
Activity 2 – Your Ideal Community
Students must now consider what they would do to make their society better. What would their perfect community look like? Pupils will then decide on a specific idea that would improve their own community.
Activity 3 – Action Plan for Change
Now that they have an idea for their neighbourhood, they must prepare a plan to get the suggestion to a decision maker. They must use their enterprise skills to consider any implications and needs that the project may face.
