Students use their imagination to envisage a society without cultural and ethnic diversity.
Diversity Activities for Form Time
We live in a multi-cultural society with a great deal of diversity. In this series of three lesson, we help students to appreciate the differences within our communities.
Activity 1 – Diversity in Britain
In the first part of this lesson, students must think about things that different nationalities and groups have brought to the UK. They must then imagine that the live in a dictatorship that allows no foreign contact. What would this be like?
Activity 2 – Different People
Students must now consider what makes people different including physical as well as personal differences. This leads on to exploring what makes people similar.
Activity 3 – Similar People
In this lesson, students learn about things they may have in common with different people. Using the examples given, pupils must find things that they have in common with others and prepare a short poem or piece of prose.
