Topic Aims

Learning Outcomes
Many students say they have a vague idea of what kind of work they would like to do. When they are asked to be more specific about what exactly they would do in a job, they find it hard to answer. This lesson gives them an opportunity to focus on real-life jobs through the use of case studies and will equip them with the knowledge about where to go to find out more, and what their career progression options are.
Introduction
Start by asking the students to work in pairs.
Each pair selects a case study from the printouts you provide.
