Learning & Thinking Skills Careers Lesson
In this second lesson in a series of 3, students will identify and gain a greater understanding of some of the main learning and thinking skills they have acquired and then be able to provide examples of how these can be applied.
Following a class discussion, students will then work in pairs or small groups to fully explore a range of skills and their attributes in 2 of the activities. This is followed by an individual activity for students to complete their own skills audit.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the lesson, students:
- will be able to provide explanations / definitions of the main learning and thinking skills
- will be able to provide examples of these skills in the context of their studies
- will complete a Personal Skills ‘audit’ including evidence of when and where they have demonstrated these skills.
Extension Task
An additional PowerPoint is provided for students to complete. This will create a record for their e-portfolio or end of module presentation.
