Career Opportunities - Missed Opportunities
This pair of lesson plans looks at the knowledge students have on prospective careers, and how they can overcome obstacles on the path to a chosen career. It also encourages keeping an open mind when selecting a career path, so as not to be dead set on one thing, and also so they don’t miss anything that might be more suited to them.
This careers teaching resource incorporates various activities and teacher-led discussions, accompanied by PowerPoint presentations and videos, to give all types of students the opportunity to learn and study well.
Students will be guided to what is a good career for them, and to think very carefully about any potential careers they may want to pursue. They will be taught to consider a wider variety of occupations than they already know, and identifying their personal opportunities is a key element of these lessons.
Careers Education
