Manage your Millions – Financial Capability Teaching Resources

Many young people can imagine what they would do if they had millions to spend, but do they know what would make a good investment, and how would they stay rich. In this selection of exercises, we use some of the world’s richest people as examples and discover some of the do’s and don’ts.

Lesson 1 – How Would You Spend Your Cash

Every student has won a million pounds! What will they do with all the money? How do their choices reflect their attitudes towards money?

Lesson 2 – Staying Rich

In this lesson, we introduce the concept of investment and look at some of the choices made in lesson one. Students must decide which are good and bad investments and think of some alternatives, identifying those which carry the most risk.

Lesson 3 – What Do People Do With Their Money?

We now focus our attention on some of the richest people and what they do with their money. Students discuss how they can learn from these examples.
